The iD8236 is a PMIC with a synchronous buck PWM and a low dropout regulator to offer two accurate output voltages.

The PWM channel integrates a main switch and a synchronous rectifier for high efficiency with noexternal Schottky diode needed. The iD8236 is suitable for powering portable equipment such as pen drives that connect to USB power source. The input voltage range is 2.2V to 6V. The converter can supply 600mA of load current and runs at 100% duty cycle for low dropout applications.

The PWM output voltage can be regulated as low as 0.6V. The other channel is a low linear regulator (LDO) that supplies up to a current loading of 300mA. The LDO has low dropout, low noise and high ripple rejection ratio and fast turn-on time. The LDO works well with low ESR ceramic capacitors and offers ultra low noise output and has low quiescent current.
