Richtek Technology releases new products RT8011/RT9016/RT9911
RT8100
Synchronous buck PWM DC/DC with Dual Voltage Control Mode
The RT8100 is an advanced DC/DC synchronous buck PWM controller with several innovative functions for specific customer\'s ASIC only. The part features RichTek\'s innovative design and topology say \"analogous current mode\" for current sensing and full functions for various applications including adjustable soft start, free-run and adjustable operation frequency and enable; the part is with design of 12V+12V boot strapped driver which is capable to drive up to 20Amp output current; moreover the part is with implementation of accuracy DCR current sensing topology. There are several specific features implemented and reserved for the specific customer\' s special applications including dual VCORE control mode including tracking and stand-alone mode, and output current indication. The part is proposed with a small footprint of QFN-16L 3x3 package.
 
RT9016
500mA, Thermal Folded Back CMOS LDO Regulator
The RT9016 is designed for portable RF and wireless applications with demanding performance and space requirements. The RT9016 performance is optimized for battery-powered systems to deliver ultra low noise and low quiescent current. A noise bypass pin is available for further reduction of output noise. Regulator ground current increases only slightly in dropout, further prolonging the battery life. The RT9016 also works with low-ESR ceramic capacitors, reducing the amount of board space necessary for power applications, critical in hand-held wireless devices. The RT9016 consumes less than 0.01μA in shutdown mode and has fast turn-on time less than 50μs. RT9016 is short circuit thermal folded back protected. RT9016 lowers its OTP trip point from 165°C to 110°C when output short circuit occurs (VOUT < 0.4V) providing maximum safety to end users. The other features include ultra low dropout voltage, high output accuracy, current limiting protection, and high ripple rejection ratio. Available in the SOT-23-5 and VDFN-6L 2x2 packages.
 
RT9911
6 Channel DC/DC Converters with a Linear Controller
The RT9911 is a complete power-supply solution for digital still cameras and other hand-held devices. It integrates one selectable Boost/Buck DC-DC converter, one high efficiency step-down DC-DC converter, one high-efficiency main step-up converter, one PWM converter for CCD positive voltage, one inverter for CCD negative voltage and one white LED driver for LCD backlight and a linear controller that drives an external P-Channel MOSFET for a linearregulator. The RT9911 is targeted for applications that use either two or three primary cells or a single lithium-ion battery.
