Weltrend Launches WT8911 Smart Camera Processor for ADAS Application

Weltrend Semiconductor announced the launch of WT8911 smart camera processor for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) application. It is a compact and low energy-consuming solution ideal to be embedded in an automotive camera module. 

 

The WT8911 is a high performance ADAS processor which incorporates a 32-bit RISC CPU with DSP instruction set that operates up to 200MHz and rich vision-processing-units/interfaces such as scaler, lens correction, image mask, optical flow detection, and etc. It features ADAS functions such as LDW (Lane-Departure Warning), MOD (Moving-Object Detection), BSD (Blind-Spot Detection), RCW (Rear-Collision Warning), and etc. 

 

With a small form factor BGA package, the WT8911 is perfect for smart camera for automotive application where the vision processor must be integrated into the camera module. It can also acts as a co-processor of WT8893S Around View Monitor (AVM) processor providing ADAS features to an AVM system. The WT8911 has been qualified to the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) standard Q100 (Grade 2).
