Ithaca, NY — Wednesday, June 10, 2009 — Kionix today announced that it is a Bronze
Award recipient of the Sensors 2009 \"Best of Sensors Expo\" Awards for its KXTF9
accelerometer with Directional Tap/Double-TapTM, a powerful new user interface for
consumer electronics. The KXTF9 sensor can detect up to 12, unique, tap-enabled
commands, a feature made possible by an algorithm embedded into the sensor\'s
Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC).

The awards honor the most exciting new products that were on display at the Sensors
Expo & Conference, which took place this week at the Donald E. Stephens Convention
Center in Rosemont, IL. All entries were judged on the basis of potential impact,
application, distinctiveness, timeliness, and availability.
