Zarlink Semiconductor 於 2007/07/25 正式宣佈收購通訊IC業者 Legerity。Legerity是一家總部位於美國德州，目前擁有216位員工，專門為電信業者、企業與住宅閘道器設備供應類比語音技術。

Legerity的總裁兼執行長Hank Perret將在兩家公司合併之後，負責建構一條新的整合性的網路通訊產品線，並直屬於Zarlink的總裁兼執行長Kirk Mandy。除此之外還有許多Legerity的高層主管也將加入Zarlink的管理團隊。

「兩家公司的合併將加速Zarlink進軍封包語音傳輸(voice-over-packet)市場。」Mandy表示。Zarlink原有的網路同步、語音增強以及電信相關產品，將與Legerity的產品線與技術合併成一個強有力的平台，鎖定成長中的下一代網路發展應用。
